Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of nxip, the IP address management service made available at nxip.dev and nx-ip.com (the "Service"), operated by Sonny Wigmore, trading as nxip of Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom ("nxip", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.

1. The Service

nxip provides API-first IP address management: registering pools, allocating subnets, and tracking usage against your account's tier limits, accessible via the REST API at nxip.dev and the nxip Terraform provider. The Service is offered on a self-serve basis across Free, Starter, Team, and Enterprise tiers, described at nx-ip.com/#pricing.

2. Accounts & API keys

An account is created by verifying ownership of an email address. Access to the Service is authenticated via API keys issued to your account. You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under them. nxip stores only a cryptographic hash of each key, never the raw value. If a key is lost, it cannot be recovered, only revoked and replaced. Notify us at hello@nx-ip.com if you believe a key has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or underlying infrastructure;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service (including circumventing rate limits or tier enforcement);
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent Free tier usage limits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

4. Pricing & payment

Free tier usage is provided at no cost, subject to the limits described on the pricing page. Starter is available on a self-serve, recurring monthly subscription, billed via our payment processor (Stripe); Team and Enterprise pricing is arranged directly (currently via hello@nx-ip.com). Self-serve subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. To cancel, contact hello@nx-ip.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your organization reverts to the Free tier's limits. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase.

If a payment fails, your paid tier's access continues for 45 days while we (and our payment processor) attempt to resolve it. Update your payment method or contact hello@nx-ip.com at any point during this window. If payment has not been resolved after 45 days, API access is restricted until it is. Restricting access does not delete any of your data: existing organizations, pools, subnets, and address records are retained, and access is restored as soon as payment succeeds.

5. Service levels; Free tier disclaimer

The Free tier is provided for evaluation purposes and comes with no guarantee of uptime, data durability, or advance notice of changes. While in this evaluation phase, the underlying database infrastructure backing Free tier accounts may be modified, migrated, or reset, and data associated with Free tier accounts (organizations, pools, subnets, and allocations) is not guaranteed to persist. We take reasonable steps to avoid data loss (including regular backups of the underlying database as of August 2026), but make no contractual commitment around Free tier data retention or recovery. If continuity of your data matters to you, do not rely on the Free tier for production use, and consider exporting anything important via the API before making infrastructure changes on our end that we may announce.

Paid tiers (Starter, Team, Enterprise) may carry stronger service-level commitments in the future, set out separately if and when they're introduced. Until then, the Service as a whole, including paid tiers, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Your data

You retain ownership of the organization, pool, subnet, and allocation data you create in the Service. We do not use your IPAM data (your address plans, subnet names, or allocation records) for any purpose other than providing the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data (such as your account email).

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its underlying software, is owned by nxip and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you the right to use the Service; they do not transfer any ownership in it. The nxip Terraform provider is distributed separately under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting hello@nx-ip.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate Section 3, or, for Free tier accounts specifically, as part of the infrastructure changes described in Section 5.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, nxip will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
